The district embarked on a facility master planning process to face growth in the community with an aging infrastructure. ThenDesign Architecture worked with the district to complete facility assessments, developed educational adequacy studies, and created a program of requirements based on educator and staff feedback.
TDA developed schemes and cost models for both elementary and high school facility options. Site fit tests were conducted, and a series of building configurations and cost models were presented to the community.
To clearly communicate to the public during the master planning process, TDA developed a master planning website that is directly connected to the district’s newly launched site, and it hosts video updates, newsletters, meeting updates, and important documents that are freely available to the community members and the bond committee as the process transitions to a ballot issue.
